Individual therapy
How to Begin
If you’re thinking about counselling, the first step is simple: reach out to schedule an initial session. You can contact me directly, and we’ll find a time that works for you.
The initial session is a gentle starting point. It’s designed for us to get to know each other, talk about what’s been going on for you, and explore what brought you to counselling right now. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels comfortable.
This is also a great time to ask any questions you may have — about the process, approaches I use, confidentiality, or anything else you’re curious about. Most importantly, it’s a chance for you to get a sense of whether you feel safe, supported, and comfortable, because a good therapeutic fit matters more than anything.
You don’t need to prepare or have everything figured out. Just come as you are.

I offer individual, in-person counselling in a calm and private office conveniently located in downtown Vancouver.
What Is Individual Counselling — and Who Is It For?
Individual counselling is a one-on-one space where you can talk openly, explore what’s happening in your world, and gain support from a trained professional. It’s a place to understand yourself and your issues more deeply, develop new skills, and create meaningful changes in your life — at your own pace and with compassion.
People come to counselling for many reasons. You may benefit if you’re experiencing:• Stress, anxiety, or overwhelm• Low mood or loss of motivation• Relationship or family challenges• Self-esteem or confidence struggles• Life transitions or identity questions• Grief, loss, or emotional heaviness• Or simply a sense that something feels “off”
You don’t need to have a crisis to reach out. Counselling is for anyone who wants clarity, healing, growth, or support — whether you’re navigating something difficult or seeking a stronger connection with yourself.
My space is quiet, comfortable, and designed to help you settle in and feel at ease. Whether you’re looking for deeper emotional work, practical tools, or a supportive place to untangle what’s been on your mind, our sessions are tailored to your needs and pace.
In-person sessions are great if you prefer:• A grounded, face-to-face connection• A consistent therapeutic space away from daily stressors• Somatic work, mindfulness, or grounding techniques• A confidential environment with no home distractions
You’re welcome to come exactly as you are — whether you need clarity, support, a space to talk things through, or a structured therapeutic plan.
If you have questions about accessibility, scheduling, or what to expect in your first session, I’m happy to walk you through everything.
